The evaluation instruments have been the Psychological Well-Being Scale (BIEPS-A) and the Perceived Self-efficacy Scale in Academic Situations (EAPESA), whose reliability/accuracy and validation evidence based on the internal structure present adequate values. The results indicated that the correlation between psychological well-being and academic self-efficacy is positive (r = .59) and between the dimensions of the first variable and the second. In addition, analysis reveals a significant difference (p < .05) in psychological well-being, its acceptance[1]control and autonomy dimensions, and academic self-efficacy according to gender. The research results show an association between psychological well-being and academic self-efficacy of the pre-university students participating in this research.Esta investigación de tipo transversal y diseño correlacional analiza la relación entre el bienestar psicológico y la autoeficacia académica en estudiantes mayores de dieciocho años de un centro preuniversitario de Lima. Los doscientos participantes fueron seleccionados por muestreo no probabilístico. Los instrumentos de evaluación han sido la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico (BIEPS-A) y la Escala de Autoeficacia Percibida en Situaciones Académicas (EAPESA), cuya confiabilidad/precisión y evidencias de validación basadas en la estructura interna presentan valores adecuados. Los resultados indicaron que la correlación entre las variables de bienestar psicológico y autoeficacia académica es positiva (r = .59), como también lo es la hallada entre las dimensiones de la primera variable y las de la segunda. Además, se reportó la existencia de una diferencia significativa (p < .05), según el género de los participantes, en el bienestar psicológico, sus dimensiones de aceptación-control y autonomía y la autoeficacia académica.
