Fifty articles obtained from Scopus and Google Scholar were collected and reviewed over a period from 2017 to 2023. First, a descriptive analysis was performed according to the year of publication and publication sources. Next, the selected articles were classified according to the four research topics. This research contributes to the quality literature in which professionals, managers, entrepreneurs and researchers can understand and apply Quality 4.0 in order to improve the productivity and competitiveness of organizations.El objetivo de la presente investigación es realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura acerca de la definición de la calidad 4.0, sus elementos, las habilidades que los empleados necesitan para aplicarla y las barreras que han estado enfrentando las empresas para su puesta en marcha. Se recopilaron y revisaron cincuenta artículos obtenidos de Scopus y Google Scholar en un periodo comprendido entre el 2017 y el 2023. En primer lugar, se realizó un análisis descriptivo de acuerdo al año de publicación y las fuentes de publicación. En seguida, los artículos seleccionados fueron clasificados de acuerdo con los cuatro temas de investigación.
