This study aims to examine the impact of inter-institutional coordination on the slowness of administrative procedures, specifically those concerning children and adolescents, before the Cantonal Board for the Protection of Rights (JCPD) of Machachi, located in the Mejía canton of Ecuador. To achieve this objective, semi-structured interviews were conducted, and case files and relevant legal documents were reviewed. As will be demonstrated throughout this study, the possible causes of the problem were identified. Finally, proposals will be put forward to address the issue under examination.
