description Objective. To determine the relationship between school climate and academic performance in students of Parish Educational Institution San Luis Gonzaga in Huanuco. Methods. Study type was observational and cross-sectional, with a quantitative approach. Population comprised of 182 students, and 126 students were selected by a probabilistic sampling by strata. Instruments used were scale of school social climate and grades report of academic performance. Descriptive and inferential analysis was performed using Pearson’s correlation coefcient. Results. Regarding school climate, it was observed that 63% obtained a “good” result, 19% “regular”, 14% “poor”, 2% “very good”, and 2% “excellent”. On the other hand, regarding school performance achievement, an “expected” achievement (17-14) of 73%, “in process” (13-11) of 16 % and “outstanding” (20-18) of 10%. Therefore, “good” school climate and “expected” school achievement performance (16-14) stand out with a higher  percentage. Conclusion. The correlation between school climate and academic performance was positive at a moderate level. In conclusion, research hypothesis was accepted.

Determinar la relación existente entre el clima escolar y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Parroquial San Luis Gonzaga de Huánuco. Métodos. El tipo de estudio fue observacional y trasversal, con enfoque cuantitativo. La población fueron 182 estudiantes, siendo seleccionados 126 estudiantes por un muestreo probabilístico por estratos. Los instrumentos usados fueron la escala de clima social escolar y el reporte de notas del rendimiento académico. Se realizó el análisis descriptivo e inferencial mediante el coefciente de correlación de Pearson. Resultados. Respecto al clima escolar, se apreció que el 63 % obtiene un resultado “bueno”, el 19 % “regular”, el 14% “defciente”, el 2 % “muy bueno”, y el 2 % “excelente”. Por su parte, respecto al logro de rendimiento escolar se observó un logro “previsto” (17-14) del 73 %, “en proceso” (13-11) del 16% y “destacado” (20- 18) del 10 %. En defnitiva, el clima escolar “bueno” y el logro de rendimiento escolar “previsto” (16-14), se destacan con un mayor porcentaje. Conclusión. La correlación entre el clima escolar y el rendimiento académico fue, por tanto, positiva de nivel moderado. Por lo que se aceptó la hipótesis de investigación. Objetivo. Determinar a relação entre o clima escolar e o desempenho acadêmico dos alunos da Instituição Educacional Paroquial de San Luis Gonzaga de Huánuco. Métodos. O tipo de estudo foi observacional e transversal, com uma abordagem quantitativa. A população consistia em 182 estudantes, sendo 126 estudantes selecionados por uma amostragem probabilística por estratos. Os instrumentos utilizados foram a escala do clima social escolar e o relatório de desempenho acadêmico. A análise descritiva e inferencial foi realizada utilizando o coeficiente de correlação de Pearson. Resultados. Em relação ao clima escolar, verificou-se que 63% obtiveram um resultado "bom", 19% "justo", 14% "pobre", 2% "muito bom" e 2% "excelente". Em termos de aproveitamento escolar, 73% foram "esperados" (17-14), 16% "em andamento" (13-11) e 10% "pendentes" (20-18). Em geral, o "bom" clima escolar e o desempenho escolar "esperado" (16-14) se destacaram com uma porcentagem maior. Conclusão. A correlação entre o clima escolar e o desempenho acadêmico foi, portanto, positiva a um nível moderado.
