To determine the relationship that exists between the critical analysis of communicative intentionality and understanding of discourse in social sciences, in students of the School of Economic Sciences of UNAS, Leoncio Prado, 2017. Methods. Research was carried out within the framework of a quantitative approach. Design used was a non-experimental cross-sectional one. Population comprised of 54 students, while the sample was 40 students. Results. A 95 % confidence interval with a 5 % margin of error. Therefore, p <0.05 and Pearson’s coefficient were found at 0.944. Consequently, there is a relationship between the analysis of communicative intent and the understanding of discourse. While the results in relation to the specific hypothesis is: In the first hypothesis, p <0.05 and Pearson’s coefficient at 0.604. In the second hypothesis, p <0.05 and the correlation coefficient at 0.697. Finally, in the third hypothesis, p <0.05 and Pearson’s correlation coefficient at 0.466. Conclusion. There is a positive and significant correlation between critical analysis of communicative intent and understanding of discourse in students of the School of Economic Sciences of Universidad Agraria de la Selva. Likewise, there is a positive and significant correlation between critical analysis of communicative intentionality and dimensions of speech understanding.Therefore, the more critical analysis of communicative intentionality, the greater the understanding of discourse in social sciences.

La población fueron 54 estudiantes, mientras la muestra fue de 40 estudiantes. Resultados. Fue al 95 % de confianza y 5 % de error. En ese sentido, se halló el p < 0,05 y coeficiente de Pearson en 0,944. Por lo tanto, existe relación entre el análisis de la intencionalidad comunicativa y la comprensión del discurso. Mientras los resultados en relación a la hipótesis especificas es como sigue: en la primera hipótesis, el p < 0,05 y el coeficiente de Pearson en 0,604; en la segunda hipótesis, el p < 0,05 y el coeficiente de correlación en 0,697; ya en la tercera hipótesis, el p < 0,05 y el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson en 0,466. Conclusión. Existe correlación positiva y significativa entre el análisis crítico de la intencionalidad comunicativa y la comprensión del discurso en los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad Agraria de la Selva. Asimismo, existe correlación positiva y significativa entre el análisis crítico de la intencionalidad comunicativa y las dimensiones de la comprensión del discurso. Por lo tanto, a mayor análisis crítico de la intencionalidad comunicativa mayor es la comprensión del discurso en ciencias sociales.Objetivo. Para determinar a relação entre a análise crítica da intencionalidade comunicativa e a compreensão do discurso em ciências sociais, em estudantes da Faculdade de Economia da UNAS, Leoncio Prado, 2017. Métodos. A pesquisa foi conduzida dentro da estrutura da abordagem quantitativa. O projeto utilizado foi não experimental e transversal. A população era de 54 alunos, enquanto a amostra era de 40 alunos. Resultados. Estava com 95% de confiança e 5% de erro. Neste sentido, o p < 0,05 e o coeficiente de Pearson foi de 0,944. Portanto, existe uma relação entre a análise da intencionalidade comunicativa e a compreensão do discurso. Enquanto os resultados em relação à hipótese específica são os seguintes: na primeira hipótese, o p < 0,05 e o coeficiente de correlação de Pearson é 0,604; na segunda hipótese, o p < 0,05 e o coeficiente de correlação é 0,697; e na terceira hipótese, o p < 0,05 e o coeficiente de correlação de Pearson é 0,466. Conclusão. Há uma correlação positiva e significativa entre a análise crítica da intencionalidade comunicativa e a compreensão do discurso nos estudantes da Faculdade de Ciências Econômicas da Universidade Agrária de La Selva. Da mesma forma, há uma correlação positiva e significativa entre a análise crítica da intencionalidade comunicativa e as dimensões da compreensão do discurso.
