The population consisted of 228 students, and the sample included 143 students, to whom a validated questionnaire and a registration form were applied. Fisher's exact test and Kendall's Tau-b were used for inferential analysis. Results. It was found that 25.2% (36) of the students were overweight and 3.5% (5) were obese. A significant relationship was also found between the frequency of food consumption and nutritional status (p-value = 0.001). Conclusion. It is concluded that there is a signifcant relationship between the frequency of food consumption and the nutritional status of schoolchildren. Objetivo. Determinar la relación entre las características generales con el estado nutricional pospandemia en escolares de una institución educativa de Huánuco, Perú. Métodos. Estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo, de tipo transversal, con diseño descriptivo comparativo. La población estuvo conformada por 228 estudiantes y la muestra por 143 estudiantes, a quienes les fue aplicado un cuestionario y una ficha de registro previa validación. Para el análisis inferencial se empleó la prueba exacta de Fisher y el Tau-b de Kendall. Resultados. Se encontró que el 25,2 % (36) presentaba sobrepeso y el 3,5 % (5) presentaba obesidad. También se encontró la existencia de relación significativa entre la frecuencia de consumo de alimentos y el estado nutricional (p-valor = 0,001). Conclusión.
