Within the film industry as an art, we have paid attention to those great movie directors in which humanism can be found. As an example, we have chosen John Ford. We feel sorry for not having been able to address to other great ones such as Frank Capra, Sergei Eisentein, Ingmar Bergman, Charles Chaplin, Elia Kazan, Akira Kurosawa or other remarkable directors. John Ford is a great film director who goes for the human being; he deepens in him in such a way that he obtains a deep balance in his vision of the misery and the human greatness, avoiding, therefore, any kind of reductionism. He presents us with a view of the human life in anxiety, in search of something that extinguishes his infinite thirst; in that vital plot he highlights the heroism, the passion and the strength on the truth, on authentic things, on the good.Partimos de un humanismo que esté a favor del ser humano, que a través de su profundo conocimiento lo promueva, lo impulse, a ser mejor. A partir de ahí hemos ido al cine para verlo centrado en el arte (diferente de aquél que tiene como finalidad ser comercial). Dentro del cine como arte nos hemos fijado en sus grandes directores, en los que se puede encontrar un gran humanismo. Como muestra hemos elegido a John Ford. Nos apena no haber podido dedicarnos a otros grandes como Frank Capra, Sergei Eisentein, Ingmar Bergman, Charles Chaplin, Elia Kazan, Akira Kurosawa u otros notables directores. John Ford es un gran cineasta que apuesta por el ser humano, profundiza en él de tal manera que logra un profundo equilibrio en su visión de la miseria y de la grandeza humana, evitando así el reduccionismo. Nos presenta una visión de la vida humana en tensión, en búsqueda de algo que apague su sed de infinito. En esa trama vital destaca el heroísmo, la pasión y la fortaleza por la verdad, por lo auténtico, por el bien.Universidad de Piura.
