For this purpose, it was implemented an instrument of survey type in two moments: input and output. The most important result is that the actions performed in this programme allowed to students integrate to their communicative competence new discursive practices of university culture, and develop new processes of reading and writing of the academic one, successfully.La investigación realizada permitió saber cuál es la percepción que tiene el estudiante del I ciclo sobre el nivel de desarrollo de su competencia comunicativa, de sus procesos discursivos y capacidades, al momento de ingresar a la universidad y después de desarrollar la asignatura de Lenguaje y Comunicación I. Para ello se aplicó un instrumento tipo encuesta en dos momentos: entrada y salida.
