The "LESIFO" test adapted by the author was used to make the diagnosis. This instrument evaluated the levels of phonological awareness such as: lexical awareness, syllabic awareness and phonemic awareness in which students were present and applied to a single study group. From the analysis and interpretation of the results of the pre-test it was evidenced that the boys and girls evaluated reached a level of low achievement; After identifying and prioritizing educational needs, the program of game-based methodological strategies was developed, validated, and applied to stimulate levels of phonological awareness called "We Play to Listen to Better Understanding." The evaluation of the post test showed significant progress in the children at each of the levels of phonological awareness assessed, reaching a very high level of achievement by verifying the effectiveness of the proposed methodological strategies program.Este artículo presenta los resultados de la investigación referida a la aplicación de estrategias metodológicas, cuyo objetivo fue demostrar que su aplicación estimula los niveles de conciencia fonológica en los niños y niñas de 5 años de edad de la Institución Educativa Inicial N°014 Estrellitas de María José Leonardo Ortiz Chiclayo. Para realizar el diagnóstico se utilizó la prueba “LESIFO” adaptada por la autora, dicho instrumento evaluó los niveles de la conciencia fonológica tales como: conciencia léxica, conciencia silábica y conciencia fonémica en que se encontraban los estudiantes y aplicado a un único grupo en estudio. Del análisis e interpretación de los resultados del pre test se evidenció que los niños y niñas evaluados alcanzaron un nivel de logro bajo; luego de haberse identificado y jerarquizado las necesidades educativas se elaboró, validó y aplicó el programa de estrategias metodológicas basadas en el juego para estimular los niveles de conciencia fonológica denominada “Jugamos a escuchar para comprender mejor”.
