The instruments used were the Resilience Questionnaire (RS) and the Adherence Assessment Questionnaire. The results revealed that the participants have a High level of resilience and Medium level of adherence, we found a significant positive relation between resilience and adherence to HAART (r = 0.453, p <0.001) and a significant relationship between resilience factors: personal competence and self-acceptance and of life with adherence to TARGA, we also found a significant and positive relationship with the areas of social environment adhesion and lifestyle to the resilience level. However, areas such as work environment, health background and emotional aspect are not related to the level of resilience.El presente estudio tuvo como finalidad determinar la relación entre la Resiliencia y la Adherencia al TARGA (Tratamiento antirretroviral de gran actividad), en una muestra de pacientes del hospital San Juan Bautista de Huaral. La muestra no probabilística estuvo conformada por 64 pacientes, cuyas edades fluctúan entre los 18 a 59 años. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron el Cuestionario de Resiliencia (RS) y el Cuestionario de Valoración de la Adherencia. Los resultados revelaron que los participantes presentan un nivel de resiliencia Alto y un nivel de adherencia medio, se encontró una relación significativa y positiva entre resiliencia y adherencia al TARGA (r=0,453, p <0,001) así como una relación significativa entre los factores de la resiliencia competencia personal y aceptación de sí mismo y de la vida con la adherencia al TARGA. También se encontró una relación significativa y positiva con las áreas de la adherencia medio social y estilo de vida con el nivel de resiliencia.
