This writing makes several proposals regarding the selection of the most appropriate tools in the training. The basis of all of them is neuropsychology. Thus, we recognize the importance of an interactive teaching method: the pedagogy of error, experiential training, learning based on emotions, practical ability (more than the theoretical term), multisensory stimulation, metacognition, among others. Finally, it is emphasized that these resources are meant to be only methodological proposals that must be adapted to the risks and the specific conditions of each community.El presente artículo gira en torno a las problemáticas y las alternativas de solución de la formación de facilitadores en la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres (GRD). Se describen profundas limitaciones de los capacitadores en cuanto a bases técnicas y metodológicas, lo cual ocasiona un impacto nulo en la generación de resiliencia comunitaria. Este escrito hace varias propuestas respecto a la selección de las herramientas más adecuadas en las capacitaciones. La base de todos ellos es la neuropsicología. Así, se reconoce la importancia de un método interactivo de enseñanza: la pedagogía del error, el entrenamiento experiencial, el aprendizaje basado en las emociones, la habilidad práctica (más que el término teórico), la estimulación multisensorial, la metacognición, entre otros.
