In addition, a sociodemographic survey was applied to know about the characteristics that older adults present as a reason for research. A profile of mild deterioration was found in the majority of older adults, where the dimensions of evocation, attention and calculation showed a significant decrease in cognitive function. Likewise, they presented statistically significant differences of the cognitive profile in older adults according to sex, age, educational level and marital status.Se estudió el perfil cognitivo en una muestra de 63 adultos mayores de un programa social de la Iglesia Bíblica Emmanuel del distrito de San Isidro-2018. Mediante un diseño no experimental de corte transversal de tipo descriptivo, se les administró el instrumento de tamizaje del Mini-mental State Examination MMSE, adaptado por Custodio (2008). Además se aplicó una ficha sociodemográfica para conocer las características que presentan los adultos mayores motivo de investigación. Se encontró un perfil de deterioro leve en la mayoría de adultos mayores, donde las dimensiones de evocación, atención y cálculo presentaron una disminución significativa de la función cognitiva.
