As teachers from this institution, it was not possible to leave out that problematic situation which led us to investigate and help to solve the problem. With this purpose, a curricular program for each of the DU was designed, having as a support for its development, the teaching scientific method; which was exposed to experts’ opinion at the beginning and then it was applied to students and the results were collected. This was an important feature that satisfied students, researchers and the whole institution. The implementation and further evaluation pointed positive and satisfactory results because the final qualifiers were very significant. It was a clear sign that students achieved the capabilities of each of the DU and this turned into a susceptible validity to be applied in certain resemblance realities.La investigación realizada es fruto de la observación de deficiencias en el desarrollo de capacidades de las Unidades Didácticas (UD), de Mecánica de Taller y Sistema de Suspensión y Dirección, de la Carrera Profesional de Mecánica Automotriz, a nivel de los estudiantes del I Ciclo del IESTP “Enrique López Albújar” – Ferreñafe; como docentes en la indicada institución no pudimos dejar de lado esta situación problemática lo que motivó para investigar y contribuir a resolver el problema. Para ello se diseñó un programa curricular para cada una de las UD indicadas pero teniendo como su sustento para su desarrollo el método científico didáctico, el mismo que fue sometido a juicio de expertos previamente para luego ser aplicado con los estudiantes y poder recoger los resultados, una peculiaridad importante que satisfizo a los estudiantes, investigadores y toda la institución.
