In our country, the latest report released by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) showed a cumulative of 973,918 confirmed cases including 36,274 deaths. This dramatic scenario has brought various limitations in all aspects of our lives, forcing us to adapt to the “new normality”, which includes strong protection measures to restrain the spread of the viral infection among our population.  Although these restrictions have been progressively lifted with the passing of the months, educational activity at all levels has not yet been reestablished.La pandemia de COVID-19 en curso ha representado un gran desafío para los seres humanos durante 2020. Al momento de escribir este editorial (7 de diciembre) había un total de 66'422,058 casos positivos confirmados y 1'532418 muertes en todo el mundo, según el World Health Organización (OMS). En nuestro país, el último reporte difundido por el Ministerio de Salud (MINSA) arrojó un acumulado de 973.918 casos confirmados incluyendo 36.274 defunciones. Este dramático escenario ha traído diversas limitaciones en todos los aspectos de nuestra vida, obligándonos a adaptarnos a la “nueva normalidad”, que incluye fuertes medidas de protección para frenar la propagación de la infección viral entre nuestra población.
