The Willaq Umao, high priest, brought him selected seed that the Inca introduced into the hole along with fertilizer.En la época del Incanato, el sembrío comenzaba con la fiesta del tarpuy raymi,en los primeros días de agosto. El Inca, frente a su pueblo, hacía una venia, para pedir permiso al Dios Sol; luego hacia el t'inkasqa con ñawin aqha y brindaba con una apetecible chicha. Entonces, con la chakitajlla, abría la tierra, tomaba un puñado de tierra que besaba con amor y respeto antesde entregar la a una ajlla.
