Descubrí así que la prostitución tenía una historia, a pesar de ser considerada "la profesión más antigua del mundo", y que mucho de esa historia había sido hecho no sólo por los personajes característicos del mundo bohemio —prostitutas, "matronas", gigolós, clientes-, sino también por los médicos higienistas y criminólogos, autores de innumerables tesis y tratados científicos sobre las "perversiones sexuales" y la sexualidad en general.One morning in 1982, interested in knowing how anarchists understood "free love", I went to investigate the National Library of Rio de Janeiro, where I found the following indication in the file: "free love - see prostitution".
