There is poverty and its own cultural substratum that, by not having a continuous and appropriate relationship with the urban world -supposedly developed-, generates a social exclusion of the majority of those who live in this area.Ochenta de cada cien ciudadanos en Cajamarca viven en la zona rural. Es una población con características propias que la hace diferente. Generalmente se la conoce como una población dispersa, poco articulada al mundo de la ciudad y con limitada accesibilidad, sin embargo, tras esa definición geográfica y simplista, hay características sociales más profundas que la definen.
