In fact, this activity constituted the backbone of the development of the mercantile economy in the region in the three centuries prior to the construction of the Central Railway, which was completed at the beginning of the 20th century, and even continued to play a significant role after that it came into operation, based on a radical redefinition of traditional circuits, until a relatively recent period. The notes that follow are intended to provide a very general view of the nature and characteristics of this activity, its impact on the organization of the regional economy and the universe of social relations that were interwoven around the muleteers and the muleteer. Universidad Católica San Pablo1983-06-10info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtículo revisado por paresapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.ucsp.edu.pe/index.php/Allpanchis/article/view/87910.36901/allpanchis.v15i21.879Allpanchis; Vol. 15 Núm. 21 (1983): Arrieros y Circuitos Mercantiles Andinos; 27-46Allpanchis; Vol. 15 No. 21 (1983): Arrieros and Andean Mercantile Circuits; 27-462708-89600252-883510.36901/allpanchis.v15i21reponame:Revistas - Universidad Católica San Pabloinstname:Universidad Católica San Pabloinstacron:UCSPspahttps://revistas.ucsp.edu.pe/index.php/Allpanchis/article/view/879/710Derechos de autor 1983 Nelson Manrique http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:revistas.ucsp.edu.pe:article/8792024-05-14T22:32:39Z |
