This celebration is, without a doubt, a good occasion for such reflection. Those of us who, two decades ago, put our quota of enthusiasm and creativity into carrying out the project of the bishops of the Andean South to found the Andean Pastoral Institute (IPA) to support the work of the Church among the Andean population, are happy to what has been achieved, although soon it was others who took over and others the immediate goals of the first fifteen years of the IPA in Allpanchis (1984, XX:9-26).Al celebrarse los 20 años de la revista Allpanchis, se me ha pedido reflexionar sobre la investigación de la religión andina. Esta celebración es, sin duda, una buena ocasión para tal reflexión. Los que pusimos, hace ya dos décadas, nuestra cuota de entusiasmo y creatividad en realizar el proyecto de los obispos del Sur Andino de fundar el Instituto de Pastoral Andina (IPA) para apoyar el trabajo de la Iglesia entre la población andina, estamos contentos de lo que se ha logrado, aunque pronto fueron otros lo que tomaron la posta y otras las metas inmediatas de los quince primeros años del IPA en Allpanchis (1984, XX:9-26).
