Solo 20 de los 36 artículos que se encontraron en la búsqueda cumplieron con todos los criterios; estas investigaciones se dividieron en categorías según el tema de estudio. En la revisión de los artículos, se puede deducir que la relación entre humanos y animales tiene muchas ventajas psicológicas y físicas, incluida una mejora en el bienestar mental, la felicidad y la actividad física. Debido a que es un tema novedoso en Iberoamérica, no se han realizado muchas investigaciones sobre los beneficios y su uso en terapia.The objective of this research is to examine the scientific literature in various categories in relation to the influence of the human-animal bond. This review covers all of Latin America and uses a theoretical research design through a systematic review. The Redalyc platform was used to search for scientific articles and institutional reports in Spanish. Only 20 of the 36 articles found in the search met all criteria; These investigations were divided into categories according to the topic of study. In reviewing the articles, it can be deduced that the relationship between humans and animals has many psychological and physical advantages, including an improvement in mental well-being, happiness and physical activity.
