| Sumario: | The continuity of community organization, as a mechanism that continues to guarantee individual access to irrigation water in the Andes, has not yet been properly described and analyzed. Most of the works that deal with irrigation in the communities are limited to describing and analyzing the ritual and symbolic aspects that the peasants still practice during the communal tasks of cleaning ditches (Julio C. Tello, 1923, J.M. Arguedas, 1964; Juan Ossio, 1976; B.J. Isbell, 1974; Sherbondy, 1982, etc.). |
