Against what is commonly thought, it poses that the economic crisis as well as other social and political factors, together with the terrorism, were elements to consider, and not only the latter.El artículo subraya la importancia de discriminar las causas que pueden afectar el turismo en un país que atraviesa situaciones de violencia, crisis económica y otras problemáticas combinadas, por un periodo largo de tiempo. Estudia el caso peruano, buscando establecer qué elementos fueron más significativos en afectar su turismo receptivo entre 1980 y 1992.
