It concludes that while there are no cancer cells pathognomonic of cancer in situ, allowing make such a diagnosis for purely cytological means, however smear intra-epithelial carcinoma is usually very suggestive and allows the cytologist, in most cases, advance the possibility of such a diagnosis, which must be confirmed histologically.Se ha estudiado 1900 células de frotises de 50 casos de cáncer in situ cervical y de 520 células de frotises de 12 casos de cáncer infiltrante del cérvix, todos confirmados histológicamente. Se ha realizado mediciones de cada célula y de su núcleo y se ha descrito las características morfológicas y tintoreales del núcleo y del citoplasma.
