It represents a theoretical model rather than a theory.Se reseñan aspectos fundamentales de la psicología del aprendizaje de Robert Gagné, destacando sus bases filosóficas (positivismo y pragmatismo) y científicas (conductismo y modelo de procesamiento de la información) y luego se evalúan dichos aspectos desde una perspectiva epistemológica en términos de sus "valideces" teórica y tópica y de su eficiencia tecnológica.
