The article reflects on the methodological strategies employed to address tensions and patriarchal power dynamics in the field, offering new perspectives on ethnographic research in regions where the control of bodies and territories is contested due to mining activity. En este artículo se exploran las intersecciones entre género y poder en los Andes peruanos donde las poblaciones locales se ven afectadas por las operaciones de minería a gran escala enmarcadas en estructuras extractivistas y patriarcales. Con el objetivo de desarrollar una reflexión metodológica al respecto del queerness en la investigación etnográfica, se visibilizan los desafíos relacionados con la negociación de múltiples posicionalidades en el campo basado en la experiencia de una investigación cualitativa. La propuesta reflexiona sobre las estrategias metodológicas empleadas para enfrentar las tensiones y dinámicas patriarcales en el campo, ofreciendo nuevas perspectivas sobre la investigación etnográfica en regiones donde el control de los cuerpos y los territorios está en disputa por la actividad minera.
