ATLAS.ti 9 software was used for the analysis. The results indicate that the perception of self-efficacy is influenced by performance achievement, vicarious experience, verbal persuasion and the physical and psychological state of the mothers. It was found that having previous experience caring for siblings, the presence of favorable maternal role models, and receiving emotional and informational support, generate an adequate perception of self-efficacy, manifesting itself in the assimilation and adaptation to motherhood.El estudio analizó la percepción de autoeficacia materna en madres primerizas adolescentes pertenecientes al distrito de Mazamari en la Amazonía del Perú. Empleo un enfoque cualitativo y un diseño fenomenológico hermenéutico. Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a 14 adolescentes de 14 a 19 años. Asimismo, para el análisis de datos se empleó el software ATLAS.ti 9. Los resultados indican que la percepción de autoeficacia está influenciada por el logro de desempeño, la experiencia vicaria, la persuasión verbal y el estado físico y psicológico de las madres. Se encontró que el contar con experiencia previa cuidando hermanos, la presencia de modelo maternos favorables y el recibir apoyo emocional e informativo, generan una adecuada percepción de autoeficacia. Concluyéndose, que las madres adolescentes de Mazamari cuentan con una percepción positiva de autoeficacia, manifestándose en la asimilación y adaptación a su maternidad. Esto conlleva, a sentirse satisfechas con las acciones ejecutadas como madres primerizas.O estudo analisou a perceção da auto-eficácia materna em mães adolescentes pela primeira vez no distrito de Mazamari, na Amazónia peruana. Utilizou-se uma abordagem qualitativa e um desenho fenomenológico hermenêutico. Foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas com 14 adolescentes de 14 a 19 anos. Os resultados indicam que a perceção da auto-eficácia é influenciada pela realização do desempenho, pela experiência vicária, pela persuasão verbal e pelo estado físico e psicológico das mães. A experiência anterior de cuidar dos irmãos, a presença de modelos maternais favoráveis e o apoio emocional e informativo geram percepções adequadas de auto-eficácia. Concluiu-se que as mães adolescentes de Mazamari têm uma perceção positiva da auto-eficácia, que se manifesta na assimilação e adaptação à maternidade.
