Thus, in the search for the perdurance of the heritage and continuous use of these assets, adaptive reuse interventions arise in the 21st century, in the district.This research proposes architectural recycling as a viable intervention for the conservation and longevity of the built heritage. Therefore, initiating from the understanding of these structures as the integrity of their history and different stages of their intervention, physical changes are analyzed as a representation of their design strategies and their spatial results in three case studies. These, considered valuable examples to signify the above-mentioned viability of adaptive reuse in other monumental areas.La denominación de parte del distrito de Barranco como Zona Monumental hacia fines de la década de 1990 evidenció el estado precario de la mayoría de los inmuebles valorados como bienes culturales. Para procurar la conservación del carácter patrimonial y la activación funcional de estos bienes, en el siglo XXI surgen en el distrito las intervenciones de reutilización adaptativa.La presente investigación propone el reciclaje arquitectónico como una intervención viable en la conservación y proyección futura del patrimonio cultural. A partir de la concepción de las edificaciones patrimoniales, considerando la integridad de su historia y sus diferentes etapas de intervención, se analizan los cambios materiales como representación de estrategias proyectuales y sus resultados espaciales en tres casos de estudio.
