description This paper is about the social responsibility in the lawyers’ education. The author begins talking of the classic university paradigm, where one of the traditional activities of the university is the social projection, which is the contribution of the university to improve the society. On the same subject, having the business vision as a reference, he mentions that the university social responsibility has been adopted from a transversal approach by the university as a way to integrate it into society. From a personal experience, the author indicates us that the idea of development was present in the 60 decade. That idea caused radical ways of action, but, in turn, emerged groups focused on social assistance as a way to contribute to society. In this part, he points the governs and universities commitment to support this idea and promote it in the students. As a counterpart, the author refers that the university social responsibility paradigm implies the return to commitment and solidarity. It been emphasized that the university social responsibility values how the university organized itself in front tis students and external, in this way, the institutional living must not neglect. Likewise, from a university social responsibility view the teaching must be ready to give an inspiring teaching, as well as it had to insist on find new methods of it. Further on, he focuses in the PUCP Law School to refers the aim that it had in order to increase the investigators teachers; furthermore, he remarks that from a university social responsibility view it be preferred the projects where the student learns by doing. He gives us as an example the Law Social Projection course (known in Spanish as PROSODE), which is related with the continuous training where the student is in continuous learning. Finally, it is set that the law schools puts it side with the university social responsibility claims.

El autor empieza hablando del paradigma universitario clásico, donde una de las tareas tradicionales de la universidad es la proyección social, la cual es la contribución de la universidad a la mejora de la sociedad. Sobre el mismo punto, señala que teniendo como punto de referencia la visión empresarial, la responsabilidad social universitaria ha sido adoptaba desde un enfoque transversal por la universidad como una forma de insertarse en la sociedad. Desde una experiencia personal, el autor nos señala que la idea de desarrollo estuvo muy presente desde la década del 60. Esto produjo formas radicales de acción, pero, a su vez, surgieron grupos enfocados en la ayuda social como una forma de contribuir a la sociedad. En esta parte, señala la actitud de los gobiernos y universidades para respaldar esta idea y fomentarla en los estudiantes. Después señala que este movimiento decayó como reflejo de un individualismo creciente. Como contrapartida, el autor señala que el paradigma de la responsabilidad social universitaria supone la vuelta al compromiso con la solidaridad. Se enfatiza que la responsabilidad social universitaria valora cómo la universidad se organiza a sí misma frente a sus alumnos y a los externos, de esa forma la vivencia institucional del alumno no se debe descuidar. Asimismo, desde una óptica de responsabilidad social universitaria la docencia debe estar pensaba para impartir una enseñanza óptima, asimismo debe incidir en la búsqueda de nuevas técnicas de enseñanza. Más adelante se enfoca en la Facultad de Derecho de la PUCP para señalar el reto que tiene de aumentar la cantidad de profesores investigadores; además, destaca que desde la responsabilidad social universitaria se prefiere los proyectos donde el estudiante aprenda haciendo. Pone el ejemplo del curso de Proyección Social en Derecho (PROSODE), el cual se relaciona con la formación continua, donde el estudiante está en constante aprendizaje.
