El trabajo es, por definición y por sustancia, trabajo remunerado, y es en esta dimensión que constituye la materia del Derecho Laboral, al cual le son extrañas las modalidades de labor humana no retribuidas, sean la esclavitud o la servidumbre, que el Derecho recusa, sean las actividades altruistas o de recreo.
