The progress of the neoliberal way of life is beginning to conquer the most recondite scenarios of private life. The American philosopher affirms that governance is a form of dissolution of liberal democracies. Governance disseminates an epistemology, an ontology and a set of depoliticizing practices. For its part, neoliberal reason makes use of techniques that are applied for the immediate purpose of solving problems that prevent the optimal functioning of the neoliberal market while volatility dominates human life. The aim of this paper is to analyze Wendy Brown’s theoretical proposal in the described scenario.Wendy Brown nos alerta sobre el avance del homo oeconomicus frente al homo politicus. Las prácticas cotidianas de los individuos son gobernadas y moldeadas por prácticas que otrora eran propias del mercado. El progreso de la forma de vida neoliberal comienza a conquistar los más recónditos escenarios de la vida privada. La filósofa estadounidense afirma que la gobernanza es una forma de disolución de las democracias liberales. La gobernanza difunde una epistemología, una ontología y un conjunto de prácticas despolitizadoras. Por su parte, la razón neoliberal hace uso de técnicas que se aplican con el fin inmediato de solucionar problemas que impiden el óptimo funcionamiento del mercado neoliberal mientras la volatilidad domina la vida humana.
