Secondly, the link between law and labor is developed. In the third part, the author analyzes the problems that symbolize the organization of labor in the State. In this way, the systems that sought to regulate labor are examined, highlighting the influence of trade unionism. The last part focuses on a reflection on work, establishing that it should not be understood only as a social duty, as established in the Italian Constitution, but as a means of expression of the human personality whose purpose is the common good.El presente artículo aborda la naturaleza y función del trabajo en el ordenamiento jurídico italiano. En ese contexto, el artículo se divide en cuatro partes. En primer lugar, el autor realiza una aproximación a las diversas concepciones del trabajo que hubo a lo largo de la historia. En segundo lugar, se desarrolla la vinculación entre el derecho y el trabajo. En la tercera parte, el autor analiza la problemática que simboliza la organización del trabajo en el Estado. De esta manera, se examinan los sistemas que pretendieron regular el trabajo, destacando la influencia del sindicalismo.
