For this purpose, the author will recount the national environmental legislation from the Environment and Natural Resources Code of 1990, as well as develop key concepts such as environmental quality standards and the aforementioned principles.El presente artículo tiene por objeto analizar la regulación ambiental vigente en el país en lo referente a su cumplimiento con los principios generales del Derecho que rigen la aplicación de las normas en el tiempo; esto es: los principios de seguridad jurídica, de irretroactividad de las normas y el de progresividad o gradualidad.
