Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate the level of implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Law in 20 district municipalities of Metropolitan Lima by verifying compliance with Article 32 of the Occupational Health and Safety Law. Additionally, it was found that the main barriers are the lack of monitoring, risk control, and associated costs. Greater attention and resources are needed to improve the organizational culture focused on preventing occupational accidents and diseases. It is concluded that the level of implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Law in the district municipalities of Lima is low, with Pucusana and Lurín being exceptions with high compliance.

Por ello, esta investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el nivel de implementación de la ley de seguridad y salud en el trabajo en 20 municipalidades distritales de Lima Metropolitana mediante la verificación del cumplimiento del artículo 32 de la ley de seguridad y salud en el trabajo. Así mismo, se encontró principales barreras son la falta de seguimiento, control de riesgos y los costos asociados. Se requiere mayor atención y recursos para mejorar la cultura organizacional enfocada en la prevención de accidentes y enfermedades laborales. Se concluye que el nivel de implementación de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo en las municipalidades distritales de Lima es bajo, siendo Pucusana y Lurín excepciones con alto cumplimiento.Estudos internacionais e nacionais, como os realizados em Garagoa (Colômbia) e Lima (Peru), revelam que muitos municípios apresentam deficiências na implementação do Sistema de Gestão de Saúde e Segurança Ocupacional (SG-SST), com baixos níveis de conformidade. atribuída à falta de medidas de monitorização e controlo dos riscos, bem como aos custos associados. Portanto, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar o nível de implementação da lei de saúde e segurança ocupacional em 20 municípios distritais da Região Metropolitana de Lima, verificando o cumprimento do artigo 32 da lei de segurança e saúde ocupacional. Da mesma forma, as principais barreiras foram a falta de monitorização, controlo de riscos e custos associados. Maior atenção e recursos são necessários para melhorar a cultura organizacional focada na prevenção de acidentes e doenças ocupacionais.
