The exercise in full of the right to a life free of violence in the domestic and intra-family sphere requires rethinking these gaps from an intersectional standpoint. In this context, the case law adopted by the Inter American Court of Human Rights, by including the application of the Inter American Convention to prevent, sanction and eradicate violence against women, for the murder of a trans woman is the course we must take to build fairer societies. Societies that are not blind to the experiences of different and plural women in their search for justice.Abordar las brechas en el acceso a la justicia derivadas de la discriminación interseccional contra las mujeres es fundamental para la construcción de ciudadanía y el fortalecimiento del Estado de derecho. El pleno ejercicio del derecho a una vida libre de violencia en el ámbito doméstico e intrafamiliar requiere repensar estas brechas desde la interseccionalidad. En este contexto, la línea jurisprudencial que ha tomado la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos al incluir la aplicación de la Convención Interamericana para prevenir, sancionar y erradicar la violencia contra la mujer por el homicidio de una mujer trans es el camino que necesitamos recorrer para construir sociedades más justas.
