The validation of the information gathering instrument was submitted to the criteria of specialists, which was a questionnaire and a questionnaire for the academic test. For reliability, we used the Cronbach coefficient, which obtained a coefficient of 0.891, and 0.875, presenting a high level of reliability. The application of the >Spearman test resulted in a value of 7.78 for the general hypothesis; The p value or Sig. Asymptotic (bilateral) was 0.000, which is less than the 0.05 level of significance and it is concluded that teaching performance is significantly related to the academic performance of students of the subject Construction II of the professional school of civil engineering of the URP.Este estudio pretende determinar si el desempeño docente se relaciona con el rendimiento académico de estudiantes de la asignatura Construcción II de la escuela profesional de ingeniería civil, Universidad Ricardo Palma, el estudio, corresponde al tipo de investigación básica, de enfoque cuantitativa, del nivel explicativa causal, con un diseño no experimental, la muestra se conformó por 100 estudiantes. La validación del instrumento de acopio de información fue sometida al criterio de especialistas que fue un cuestionario y un cuestionario para la prueba académica, para confiabilidad utilizamos el coeficiente de Cronbach que obtuvo un coeficiente de 0.891, y 0.875 presentando un nivel alto de confiabilidad. La aplicación de la prueba de >spearman tuvo como resultado para la hipótesis general tuvo un valor de 7.78; el p valor o Sig.
