For the first variable, a cooperative learning scale with a reliability of 0.945 was applied and for the second variable a musical skills scale with a reliability of 0.952, the two scales were adapted. To test the hypothesis, the data have been processed using the Pearson correlation test, to determine normality, the Kolmogorov - Smirnof test was applied because the sample was larger than 50 students and for the hypothesis test, the Pearson correlation coefficient was applied. As a result, a significant correlation was found, r = 0.512, with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This demonstrates a moderate and significant relationship between cooperative learning and the musical abilities of students at the public Folklore University of Lima.El objetivo principal de este estudio es determinar el nivel de relación entre el aprendizaje cooperativo y las habilidades musicales en los estudiantes de la universidad pública de Folklore de Lima. La investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, nivel correlacional, básico. La muestra estuvo constituida por 87 estudiantes de música de los ciclos II, IV, VI, VIII y X, y se seleccionó mediante un muestreo no probabilístico e intencional. Se aplicaron para la primera variable una escala de aprendizaje cooperativo cuya fiabilidad es 0.945 y para la segunda variable una escala de habilidades musicales cuya fiabilidad es 0.952, las dos escalas fueron adaptadas. Para comprobar la hipótesis los datos han sido procesados, mediante la prueba de correlación de Pearson, para determinar la normalidad se aplicó la prueba de Kolmogorov - Smirnof porque se trabajó con una muestra mayor a 50 estudiantes y para la prueba de hipótesis se aplicó el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson. Como resultado se encontró que existe correlación significativa r = 0.512 con una significancia de 0.000 (p < 0,05).
