description Addressing school violence requires the active participation and commitment of the entire educational community. This qualitative ethnomethodological research proposes a participatory pedagogical design aimed at disarticulating it, based on its understanding by institutional actors, from the data of the interview conducted with 282 students in a public educational institution in the city of Cúcuta in Colombia. The findings show that students associate violence with physical and verbal abuse, understand coexistence as the result of complying with institutional rules, and show interest in promoting respect among themselves and with their teachers. A pedagogical proposal is proposed based on the axes of peace, violence and conflict, aimed at raising awareness of the phenomenon of violence and the collective construction of its approach by school actors.

La presente investigación cualitativa etnometodológica, propone un diseño pedagógico participativo orientado a desarticularla, partiendo de su comprensión por parte de actores institucionales, a partir de los datos de la entrevista realizada a 282 estudiantes en una institución educativa pública de la ciudad de Cúcuta en Colombia. Los hallazgos muestran que los estudiantes asocian la violencia con el maltrato físico y verbal, entienden la convivencia como el resultado de cumplir normas institucionales, y muestran interés por promover el respeto entre ellos y con sus maestros. Se propone una propuesta pedagógica con orientación en los ejes de paz, violencia y conflicto, orientada a la toma de consciencia sobre el fenómeno de la violencia y la construcción colectiva de su abordaje desde los actores escolares.O enfrentamento da violência escolar requer a participação ativa e o comprometimento de toda a comunidade educativa. Esta investigação etnometodológica qualitativa propõe um desenho pedagógico participativo que visa desarticulá-la, com base na sua compreensão pelos actores institucionais, a partir dos dados da entrevista realizada a 282 alunos de uma instituição de ensino público da cidade de Cúcuta, na Colômbia. Os resultados mostram que os alunos associam a violência a agressões físicas e verbais, entendem a convivência como resultado do cumprimento de regras institucionais e demonstram interesse em promover o respeito entre eles e com seus professores.
