In the experimental group, the Textual Discursive Model was applied through nine sessions. Each session consisted of two hours of theory and two hours of workshop. In order to achieve the objective of the research, the technique of Difference in Differences has been used. It has been concluded that the application of the Discursive Textual Model has a positive impact on the writing of essays. The students who participated in the workshops of the application of the Discursive Textual Model improved the production of essays by an average of 5 points as opposed to the students in the control group.El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar el impacto del Modelo Textual Discursivo en la redacción de ensayos de los estudiantes de quinto grado de la I.E.S. María Auxiliadora de la ciudad de Puno. Para ello se ha tomado en cuenta un grupo control (sección “G”) y otro grupo experimental (sección “D”). En el grupo experimental se aplicó el Modelo Textual Discursivo a través de nueve sesiones. Cada sesión comprendió dos horas de teoría y dos horas de taller. Para alcanzar el objetivo de la investigación se ha utilizado la técnica de Diferencia en Diferencias. Se ha llegado a la conclusión de que la aplicación del Modelo Textual Discursivo tiene un impacto positivo en la redacción de ensayos.
