description In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an enhanced Education 4.0 proposal incorporating Service Learning (SL) among university students. A quantitative research was conducted with a sample of 30 students from Universidad de Aconcagua (Chile) during the period from April to June 2024. Data were collected using questionnaires with sufficient validity and reliability; the first instrument assessed Grit on the 12-item Grit-O scale with scores ranging from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest level, and the second instrument measured social responsibility from 1 to 6, with 6 as the maximum value. The results indicate that the use of Education 4.0 along with Service Learning showed a significant increase in social responsibility, rising from 4.96 to 5.37 (p<0.05), and a slight increase in Grit, from 4.36 to 4.41, achieving better outcomes than students who only used Education 4.0. The findings suggest that Education 4.0 with Service Learning projects is a more effective methodology than Education 4.0 alone for increasing Grit and social responsibility among university students.

Se llevó a cabo una investigación cuantitativa, con una muestra de 30 estudiantes de la Universidad de Aconcagua (Chile) durante el período comprendido entre abril y junio de 2024. Se recolectaron datos usando cuestionarios con suficiente validez y confiabilidad, el primer instrumento cotejando el Grit en la escala Grit-O de 12 ítems con puntajes del 1 al 5, con el 5 como el nivel más alto, y el segundo instrumento midiendo la responsabilidad social del 1 al 6, con 6 como valor máximo. Los resultados indican que el uso de Educación 4.0 junto con Aprendizaje y Servicio demostró un incremento significativo en la responsabilidad social, subiendo desde un 4.96 a un 5.37 (p<0.05), y un aumento ligero en el Grit, de 4.36 a 4.41, obteniendo mejores resultados que los estudiantes que sólo usaron Educación 4.0. Los hallazgos sugieren que la Educación 4.0 con proyectos de Aprendizaje y Servicio resulta una metodología más efectiva que la Educación 4.0 por sí misma, para el incremento del Grit y la responsabilidad social en los estudiantes universitarios.Neste estudo, buscamos avaliar a efetividade de uma proposta de Educação 4.0 reforçada com Aprendizagem e Serviço entre estudantes universitários. Foi realizada uma investigação quantitativa, com uma amostra de 30 estudantes da Universidade do Aconcágua (Chile) durante o período entre abril e junho de 2024. Os dados foram coletados por meio de questionários com validade e confiabilidade suficientes, o primeiro instrumento comparando o Grit no dia 12 -item Escala Grit-O com pontuação de 1 a 5, sendo 5 o nível mais alto, e o segundo instrumento que mede a responsabilidade social de 1 a 6, sendo 6 o valor máximo. Os resultados indicam que a utilização da Educação 4.0 em conjunto com Aprendizagem e Serviço demonstrou um aumento significativo na responsabilidade social, passando de 4,96 para 5,37 (p<0,05), e um ligeiro aumento na Garra, de 4,36 para 4,41, obtendo melhores resultados que os alunos que usaram apenas Educação 4.0.
