description In Peru, during the COVID-19 pandemic, special regulations were developed that allowed the continuity of higher education through virtual teaching. In this context, the guidelines for remote work were established, the application of which included public and private workers. In addition, university professors have been an important factor in ensuring the continuity of academic activities and influencing the performance of universities. The objective of the article was to analyze the documentary sources on the relationship between remote work and job satisfaction of Peruvian university professors before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology used was documentary research. The results show that remote work was not a new type of employment and that in Peru it was established and implemented without the necessary legal framework and technological support. In addition, the different teaching modalities can influence the job satisfaction of university professors. Finally, remote work and the pandemic have influenced the job satisfaction of workers, including university professors. It is concluded that studies on remote work and job satisfaction of university teachers show that there is a relationship between both variables; that is, remote work can influence the level of job satisfaction of Peruvian university professors.

En ese contexto, se establecieron los lineamientos del trabajo remoto, cuya aplicación incluyó a los trabajadores públicos y privados. Además, los docentes universitarios han sido un factor importante para asegurar la continuidad de las actividades académicas e influir en el desempeño de las universidades. El objetivo del artículo fue analizar las fuentes documentales sobre la relación entre el trabajo remoto y la satisfacción laboral de los docentes universitarios peruanos antes y durante la pandemia del COVID-19. La metodología utilizada fue la investigación documental. Los resultados muestran que el trabajo remoto no fue una nueva modalidad de empleo y que en el Perú se estableció e implementó sin el marco legal y el soporte tecnológico necesarios. Además, las diferentes modalidades de enseñanza pueden influir en la satisfacción laboral de los docentes universitarios. Finalmente, el trabajo remoto y la pandemia han influido en la satisfacción laboral de los trabajadores, incluyendo a los docentes universitarios. Se concluye que los estudios sobre el trabajo remoto y la satisfacción laboral de los docentes universitarios muestran que existe una relación entre ambas variables; es decir, el trabajo remoto puede influir en el nivel de satisfacción laboral de los docentes universitarios peruanos.No Peru, durante a pandemia do COVID-19, foram desenvolvidos regulamentos especiais que permitiram a continuidade do ensino superior por meio do ensino virtual. Nesse contexto, foram estabelecidas as diretrizes para o trabalho remoto, cuja aplicação abrangeu trabalhadores públicos e privados. Além disso, os professores universitários têm sido um fator importante para garantir a continuidade das atividades acadêmicas e influenciar o desempenho das universidades. O objetivo do artigo foi analisar as fontes documentais sobre a relação entre trabalho remoto e satisfação no trabalho de professores universitários peruanos antes e durante a pandemia do COVID-19. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa documental. Os resultados mostram que o trabalho remoto não era um novo tipo de emprego e que no Peru foi estabelecido e implementado sem o marco legal necessário e o suporte tecnológico. Além disso, as diferentes modalidades de ensino podem influenciar a satisfação profissional dos professores universitários. Por fim, o trabalho remoto e a pandemia influenciaram a satisfação profissional dos trabalhadores, incluindo professores universitários.
