description The article aims to present the design of a methodological strategy for the care of students with special educational needs not associated with disabilities in the rural sector of the city of Manta, at the Ahitana Ponce Santana Fiscal Educational Unit. The methodology was mixed approach, with a descriptive scope and a non-experimental design. The methods used were analysis, synthesis, inductive and deductive reasoning; additionally, interviews and surveys were conducted with a sample of 3 teachers and 84 students corresponding to sections A and B of the 8th year of Basic General Education, respectively. According to the teachers, the main special educational needs not associated with disabilities in the students include learning difficulties, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and language or communication disorders. Students show difficulties in understanding and applying concepts, insecurities in self-esteem and academic confidence, as well as difficulties in conflict resolution and decision-making. Therefore, additional support is required, as well as the development of specific strategies to improve the learning process and academic well-being. The conclusion is reached through a methodological strategy that includes activities aimed at initial assessment, design of individualized intervention plans, use of technological resources to enhance learning and attention, teacher training and support, as well as collaboration with families.

La metodología fue de enfoque mixto, con un alcance descriptivo con un diseño no experimental, como métodos se emplearon el análisis, síntesis, inductivo y deductivo, además se emplearon como técnica la entrevista y la encuesta a una muestra de 3 docentes y 84 estudiantes correspondientes a los paralelos A y B del 8vo año de EGB respectivamente. Los resultados según los docentes entre las principales necesidades educativas especiales no asociadas a discapacidades en los estudiantes, que incluyen dificultades de aprendizaje, déficit de atención e hiperactividad (TDAH) y trastornos del lenguaje o la comunicación. En los estudiantes se evidencian dificultades en la comprensión y aplicación de conceptos, inseguridades en la autoestima y confianza académica, así como dificultades en la resolución de conflictos y toma de decisiones. Por lo tanto, se requiere proporcionar apoyo adicional y desarrollar estrategias específicas para mejorar el proceso de aprendizaje y bienestar académico. Se concluye mediante una estrategia metodológica que contempla actividades dirigidas a la evaluación inicial, diseño de planes de intervención individualizados, uso de recursos tecnológicos para favorecer el aprendizaje y la atención, acompañamiento y formación docente, así como la colaboración con las familias.O artigo tem como objetivo apresentar o desenho de uma estratégia metodológica para o atendimento de estudantes com necessidades educacionais especiais não associadas a deficiências no setor rural da cidade de Manta, na Unidade Educativa Fiscal Ahitana Ponce Santana. A metodologia foi de abordagem mista, com um escopo descritivo e um desenho não experimental. Os métodos utilizados incluíram análise, síntese, raciocínio indutivo e dedutivo; adicionalmente, foram realizadas entrevistas e pesquisas com uma amostra de 3 professores e 84 estudantes correspondentes às turmas A e B do 8º ano do Ensino Básico Geral, respectivamente. De acordo com os professores, as principais necessidades educacionais especiais não associadas a deficiências nos estudantes incluem dificuldades de aprendizagem, transtorno do déficit de atenção e hiperatividade (TDAH) e distúrbios de linguagem ou comunicação. Os estudantes demonstram dificuldades na compreensão e aplicação de conceitos, inseguranças em autoestima e confiança acadêmica, bem como dificuldades na resolução de conflitos e tomada de decisões. Portanto, é necessário fornecer suporte adicional e desenvolver estratégias específicas para melhorar o processo de aprendizagem e o bem-estar acadêmico.
