The provision of educational services in rural contexts requires educational leadership that addresses the demands of an educational community based on its geographical and social characteristics. In this context, the research aimed to explore the relationship between pedagogical leadership and the territorial approach a group of rural directors of public educational institutions in the Ayacucho region, Perú. A phenomenological qualitative study was conducted, using semi-structured interviews with a group of five directors of rural public schools. Among the main results, it was found that efficient exercise of pedagogical leadership allows directors to construct solutions that favor the educational quality of the institution. It was also identified that the role of pedagogical leadership in rural schools implies a series of challenges, such as efficient preparation in the management of human and material resources, as well as proactive management of relationships with the educational community based on their characteristics and needs. It is concluded that efficient knowledge of the territorial approach by directors reinforces their educational leadership, encouraging the participation of students, teachers, families, local and regional authorities to provide the necessary support and assistance required by the educational community in the rural area. |

En ese contexto, la investigación tuvo como objetivo explorar la relación entre el liderazgo pedagógico y el enfoque territorial de un grupo de directivos rurales de instituciones educativas públicas de la región de Ayacucho, Perú. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo de aproximación fenomenológica, haciendo uso de entrevistas semiestructuradas a un grupo de cinco directivos de escuelas públicas rurales. Entre los principales resultados encontramos que se identifica que el ejercicio eficiente del liderazgo pedagógico permite a los directivos construir soluciones que favorezcan a la calidad educativa de la institución. Asimismo, se identificó que el rol de liderazgo pedagógico en escuelas rurales implica una serie de desafíos como la preparación eficiente en gestión de recursos humanos y materiales, además de gestionar relaciones proactivas con la comunidad educativa según las características y necesidades que demandan. Foi realizado um estudo qualitativo de aproximação fenomenológica, utilizando entrevistas semiestruturadas com um grupo de cinco diretores de escolas públicas rurais. Entre os principais resultados encontrados, identifica-se que o exercício eficiente da liderança pedagógica permite aos diretores construir soluções que favorecen a qualidade educacional da instituição. Além disso, foi identificado que o papel da liderança pedagógica em escolas rurais implica uma série de desafios, como a preparação eficiente em gestão de recursos humanos e materiais, além de gerenciar relações proativas com a comunidade educacional de acordo com as características e necessidades demandadas.
