description Entrepreneurs are those who revolutionize the world with their ideas. This paper explores the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills in high school students from an Ecuadorian city to stimulate business ideas with an innovative approach. The methodology was based on a descriptive qualitative-quantitative approach. The analytical method was used, through the survey and interview techniques. The population consisted of 360 students with a probabilistic sample of 202 students from the "Paquisha" and "Emilio Bowen Roggiero" Educational Units and 2 area directors of the Entrepreneurship and Management subject. The results show that in the subject under study, teachers use as a traditional teaching method such as lectures and group work for the development of the business plan, motivated by an educational infrastructure with limitations for the use of digital tools in favor of the innovative entrepreneurship. It is concluded that the implemented methods do not stimulate the development of leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills in the participating student population.

El presente trabajo explora la importancia del desarrollo de habilidades emprendedoras en estudiantes del nivel de bachillerato de una ciudad ecuatoriana para la estimulación de ideas de negocios con enfoque innovador. La metodología se basó en un enfoque cuali-cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo. Se empleo el método analítico, mediante las técnicas de la encuesta y entrevista. La población estuvo conformada por 360 educandos con una muestra probabilística de 202 estudiantes de las Unidades Educativas “Paquisha” y “Emilio Bowen Roggiero” y 2 directores de área de la asignatura Emprendimiento y Gestión. Los resultados evidencian que en la asignatura objeto de estudio, los docentes utilizan como método de enseñanza tradicional como las conferencias magistrales y trabajos grupales para el desarrollo del plan de negocio, motivado por una infraestructura educativa con limitaciones para el uso de herramientas digitales a favor del emprendimiento innovador. Se concluye que los métodos implementados no estimulan el desarrollo de las habilidades en liderazgo, trabajo en equipo y resolución de problemas en la población estudiantil participante.Empreendedores são aqueles que revolucionam o mundo com suas ideias. Este artigo explora a importância de desenvolver habilidades empreendedoras em alunos do ensino médio de uma cidade equatoriana para estimular ideias de negócios com uma abordagem inovadora. A metodologia baseou-se numa abordagem qualitativo-quantitativa descritiva. Foi utilizado o método analítico, através das técnicas de inquérito e entrevista. A população foi constituída por 360 alunos com uma amostra probabilística de 202 alunos das Unidades Educativas “Paquisha” e “Emilio Bowen Roggiero” e 2 diretores de área da disciplina de Empreendedorismo e Gestão. Os resultados mostram que na disciplina em estudo, os professores utilizam como método de ensino tradicional como palestras e trabalhos em grupo para o desenvolvimento do plano de negócios, motivados por uma infraestrutura educacional com limitações para o uso de ferramentas digitais em prol do empreendedorismo inovador.
