The instruments used were the research questionnaire made of Rubio (2015) and the information skills questionnaire of Cabrejos and Montenegro (2017). The results revealed, using the Spearman's Rho non-parametric test, a moderate positive correlation of 0.3, with which it was established that there is a direct correlation between informational skills and research competences.Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre las competencias informacionales y las competencias investigativas en estudiantes del IX y X ciclo de la Escuela Profesional de Educación de la Universidad Nacional Santiago Antúnez de Mayolo de la Región Ancash (Perú). El enfoque fue cuantitativo de nivel descriptivo-correlacional con muestreo censal la misma que estuvo conformado por 88 estudiantes de ambos sexos. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron fueron: el Cuestionario sobre competencias investigativas de Rubio (2015) y el Cuestionario sobre competencias informacionales de Cabrejos y Montenegro (2017).
