The main idea of ​​this article is to present the effects of the strategic and geopolitical theories of Golbery do Couto e Silva, on the other Brazilian military and political leaders who succeeded them. In addition to being a general in the Brazilian Army and a geopolitician, he was one of the main theoreticians of the National Security Doctrine of the 1950s and one of the creators of the National Information Service (SNI). The historical context in which Golbery lived was influenced by World War II, the rise and fall of international communist regimes, and the failed attempt to insert communism in Brazil, coexisting with the rise of the military to the Executive Power. In this way, the public life of Golbery do Couto e Silva was based on roles at the forefront of politics and the Brazilian Army, providing him with vast experience in matters related to national strategy, where he prepared strategic decisions on politics and national security, collaborating in the consolidation of Brazilian democracy. Among Golbery's main studies, his theory of "strategic maneuver" stands out, diversifying the country's political party system. Thus, through a qualitative bibliographic review, the use of Golbery's theories by the authorities that command the destiny of Brazil will be tested.
