Los hallazgos mostraron que las personas con una identidad fusionada, se auto-identificaron de manera significativa con el grado de identificación con el país y la autoestima colectiva peruana, en comparación con sus pares no fusionados. Además, hay una distancia social hacia el grupo peruano en lo que respecta a aspectos más proximales; por ejemplo, no casarse con peruanos no judíos. Finalmente, al comparar las variables de estudio que hacían referencia a ambos grupos, los individuos fusionados tendían a favorecer a la comunidad judía en las áreas autoestereotípicas de “moralidad” y “competencia” y en autoestima colectiva.

To this end, questionnaires were administered via web to assess the constructs in 100 members of Lima’s Jewish community. All individuals volunteered. For the results, Pearson’s correlation analysis, comparisons of means and repeated measures were performed. The findings showed that people with a fused identity, self-identified significantly with the degree of identification with the country and the Peruvian collective self-esteem, in comparison to their non-fused peers. In addition, there is a social distance towards the Peruvian group in regard to more proximal aspects; for example, by don’t getting married to non-Jewish Peruvians.
