description El presente estudio de investigación es la primera aproximación que se realizó en el sector pecuario de la región Lima, con el fin de evaluar los nueve factores de la Gestión de la calidad en base a la metodología propuesta por Benzaquen (2014) y determinar el nivel de cumplimiento de los factores de éxito de TQM en la gestión de la calidad del Sector Pecuario, crianza de aves, porcinos, vacunos en la región Lima 2015. La investigación tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo y un alcance transversal simple con el objetivo de comprobar el nivel de cumplimiento de los factores de TQM, utilizando como herramienta de medición la encuesta de calidad, entre las empresas que cuentan o no con un sistema de gestión de calidad. Los resultados alcanzados dieron validez y confiabilidad de cada uno de los factores superando el valor mínimo de Alfa de Cronbach. Posteriormente se realizó el análisis descriptivo y se comparó el nivel de cumplimiento de las empresas encuestadas con el estudio realizado por Benzaquen (2013), el cual fue verificado con el análisis interno del sector, lo que permitió identificar oportunidades de mejora y realizar recomendaciones como la implatación de un organismo integrador que promueva la adopción de normativas internacionales referentes a la gestión de calidad e impulsar el desarrollo de este sector, actualmente en crecimiento, y posee un gran potencial para el país

The research had a quantitative and descriptive approach as well as a simple cross scope, in order to check the level of compliance with the TQM factors, using as a measurement tool, a quality survey among companies that have or not a management system quality. The results achieved gave validity and reliability to each of the factors, exceeding the minimum value of Cronbach's alpha. Subsequently, the descriptive analysis was performed and the level of compliance of the companies surveyed was compared with Benzaquen study (2013), which was verified with the internal analysis of the sector. It identified opportunities for improvement and made recommendations for the implanting of an inclusive organization that promotes the adoption of related international standards for quality management.
