Bajo esta perspectiva de salud integral, es reciente el campo de estudio que busca comprender la contribución de las artes a la calidad de vida, inclusión y bienestar de las personas, estableciéndose diversas posturas sobre las funciones y el impacto que trae la participación en ellas. En el 2020, se ha aprobado en Perú el reglamento de la ley para comenzar a implementar el servicio educativo hospitalario. Por ello, se plantea la siguiente investigación de enfoque cualitativo y nivel exploratorio- descriptivo, para dar respuesta al siguiente problema: ¿Cuál es el papel que se le atribuye al arte en el contexto de aulas hospitalarias del Programa Aprendo Contigo con pacientes oncológicos menores de edad, en el INEN? Entre los principales hallazgos, se encontró que los entrevistados tienen una valoración positiva sobre los beneficios a nivel social, psicológico y fisiológico de trabajar desde las artes en este contexto. Les atribuyen a las artes la función terapéutica, pedagógica y humanizadora. Sin embargo, se observa que la importancia atribuida a las artes se queda en lo teórico y no se plasma de manera óptima. Se halló que hay posibles limitaciones que pueden dificultar el trabajo desde las artes, en el contexto hospitalario en el Perú.

In response to the needs arising from hospitalization, Hospital Pedagogy has been promoted and developed in different countries. This conceives the child and adolescent as a whole and global person and seeks to ensure that they do not remain in the passivity of the disease. From an integral health perspective, the field of study on how the arts can contribute to the quality of life, inclusion and wellbeing of people is recent. Establishing different positions on the functions of art and the impact that participation in them brings. In 2020, law regulations were approved in Peru to begin implementing the hospital educational service. Therefore, the following research with a qualitative approach and at an exploratory-descriptive level is proposed to respond to the following problem: What is the role attributed to art in the context of hospital classrooms of the Aprendo Contigo Program with pediatric oncology patients at INEN? Among the main discoveries, it was found that the interviewees have a positive perception of the social, psychological and physiological benefits of working from the arts in this context. They attribute a therapeutic, pedagogical and humanizing function to arts. However, it is observed that this importance attributed to the arts remains theoretical and is not optimally implemented.
