To do this, it starts from the question of what the employment relationship of professional footballers is like; and then, the treatment of the probationary period in our current national legislation is studied. The research collects information at the theoretical level, legal provisions and arbitration awards of the Chamber of Conciliation and Dispute Resolution of the Peruvian National Sports Federation of Football and FIFA. It is perceived that the application of the probationary period does not seem to correspond to the special nature of this area.
