This pictorial review addresses the correct positioning of medical devices used in pediatrics, such as arterial and venous umbilical catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary arterial catheters (SwanGanz), nasogastric, orogastric, and nasoduodenal tubes, endotracheal tubes, tracheostomy tubes, pleural drainage tubes, and cardiac pacemakers. It focuses on the importance of identifying the proper placement of these devices to prevent complications and improve clinical care. The correct positions and complications associated with malpositions are described, emphasizing the use of radiographs for the evaluation and monitoring of these devices in pediatric patients.
